New Covid-19 Regulations & Risks Impacting Businesses in California

Covid-19 Infection Prevention Requirements (AB 685) created new notice record keeping requirements regarding COVID-19 cases in the workplace. These requirements go into effect Jan. 1, 2021, and remain in effect until Jan. 1, 2023. Within ONE BUSINESS DAY of a "notice of potential exposure to COVID-19" in the workplace, an employer must now provide a written notice to all employees at risk. Learn more here.

Our client, filming in CA, felt extra pressure to comply even before the January 1, 2021 deadline and needed to quickly find a highly accurate, out-of-the-box and intuitive solution in order to manage risk and continue running its production under the new exposure notification requirements.

WiFi Connectivity

The lack of WiFi around set was also another challenge our client faces which made the Proxfinity’s ResCUE an attractive solution. Our badges do not need constant access to Wifi connection in order to successfully work.

Different Filming Locations

Having multiple production sites, crews go back and forth between sites and therefore require a cohesive solution across that works reliably across every site.

Proxfinity ResCUE’s Solution

Client rented 200 ResCUE units for 3 months.

•ResCUE offered an out-of-the-box, low maintenance system to immediately log exposure, conduct contact tracing and gather data in real time.

•ResCUE has multiple options in order to wear the badge on their person. Our client was able to wear with a lanyard or clip under their clothes behind the scenes and while being filmed.

•Smart badges provided the production crew a visual cue signaling social distance measures and tracks their interactions for back-end risk assessment, increasing comfort levels on production site.

•Data collected via the back-end dashboard allowed them to make real-time staffing decisions and ramp up cleaning procedures at high-traffic areas.

•ResCUE’s easy-to-use dashboard and inventory system allows for quick, flexible distribution and analysis for increased employee safety.
